Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review and update failed bills and claims on the host system and within the billing vendor
• Work daily electronic submissions (277s) and resolve claim issues
• Monitor daily claim errors and resolutions and recommend system fixes
• Work daily late charges and rebills
• Bill hardcopy claims and attach required documentation
• Pull EOBs and medical records as needed, attach them to claims, and mail them
• Contact patients, insurance companies, and third parties for insurance information or additional billing data
• Create training documents and tests
• Train and educate staff and provide testing
• Work the absentee staffing desk
• Perform other job-related duties as required by the supervisor

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of desired work experience
• High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience
• 2 years of an accredited degree or equal experience
• Must be CPB Certified
• Internal candidates must have achieved 100% productivity and 95% quality assurance for the prior 3-month period
• Billing experience on multiple payers or subject matter expertise on one payer
• Basic computer knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Must pass a typing test of 35 words per minute, error adjusted
• Must provide a mock training session for the interviewer(s)
• Must demonstrate openness to innovation, including AI
• Must reside and be authorized to work within the United States
• Must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require
