Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in physician practice or health care environment preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of basic professional billing terminology.
• Excellent computer skills and strong communication abilities.
• Willing attitude to assume additional duties as department needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sending out secondary claims and filing daily batches.
• Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and mail patient itemized statements.
• Assist with refund processing, including check registers and mailing payments.
• Coordinate department calendar and maintain office supplies.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
