MaineHealth Neurosurgery and Spine is recruiting for an experienced Physician Associate/Physician Assistant (PA) with the ability to see both adult and pediatric patient populationsto practice at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. This is an opportunity to join our well-respected team in the Neurosurgery group supporting 12Surgeons and working alongside 17 Advance Practice Providers (APPs) providing surgical, emergency, and in-patient care and services including ER consultations, hospital admissions, first assisting on Neurosurgical cases, and medical management of in-patients with daily rounds.
Primary inpatient responsibilities are at Maine Medical Center, the state's leading tertiary care hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center. Maine Medical Center has 637 licensed beds, a full complement of residencies and fellowships, and is an integral part of Tufts University Medical School.
This position is budgeted as a 1.0 FTE (40 hours) position, and is typically worked in three 13-hour shifts per week, averaging 39 hours weekly.
