Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Care in San Antonio, TX is seeking a compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner) to join our oncology team. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care alongside nationally recognized oncology specialists in a mission-driven environment.

This weekday-only role offers participation in collaborative tumor boards, patient and family education, and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license issued by the Texas State Board.
• 1-3 years of advanced practice provider experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate closely with physicians on treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care.
• Prescribe medications and initiate interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical decision-making.
• Support quality outcomes while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance standards.
