The Recruiting Hive is actively seeking a Physician Assistant – Surgical First Assistant in Geneva, NY. This role combines hands-on operating room duties with comprehensive patient care across the surgical continuum.

You will work closely with the Chief of Surgery and surgeons, serving as a First Assist in the OR while supporting patients before and after surgery in the clinical setting. The position offers a stable, full-time opportunity with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS Physician Assistant license.
• National Certification (NCCPA) required.
• Valid DEA license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Confidence working in both surgical and clinical environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as First Assist in the operating room.
• Support pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care.
• Participate in clinic responsibilities and patient management.
• Assist with inpatient rounding as needed.
• Coordinate communication with referring and primary care providers to ensure seamless continuity of care.
