Job summary

NPAworldwide in Geneva, NY is seeking a Physician Assistant Surgical First Assistant to join a high‑performing team. You’ll serve as First Assistant in the OR and support patients before and after surgery in the clinical setting.

Work closely with the Chief of Surgery and vascular/oncology surgeons, handling pre‑op evaluations, post‑op follow‑ups, clinic duties and inpatient rounding while coordinating with referring providers to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Physician Assistant license.
• National Certification (NCCPA).
• Valid DEA license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Act as First Assist in the operating room
• Support pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care
• Participate in clinic responsibilities and patient management
• Assist with inpatient rounding as needed
• Coordinate communication with referring and primary care providers to ensure seamless continuity of care
