University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Physician Assistant to support Orthopaedics at UPMC Somerset.

Shifts: Monday-Friday

Location: UPMC Somerset

Position Details: The role involves a combination of office/outpatient work and assisting in the operating room during surgeries. Office procedures include patient consultations, injections, post-op care, H&Ps, and evaluating x-rays and MRIs.

Department: The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic care for a wide range of orthopaedic conditions in both adults and children.

Staff Level:

The Staff Advanced Practice Provider (APP), a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, is part of the care team, responsible for setting care standards and providing patient care under physician supervision. The APP manages patient care activities, demonstrating leadership, collaboration, and professional growth. The role involves building relationships with healthcare team members, patients, and families to ensure optimal outcomes. The successful candidate will be placed according to their experience.
