Job summary

Oakland University is seeking a Physician Assistant Program Coordinator to provide administrative, operational, and logistical support for the PA program. You will help ensure efficient daily operations and compliance with accreditation standards and university policies, coordinating planning, communication, and project management across the program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Progressive administrative support experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and databases.
  • Familiarity with academic programs and higher education procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication with customer service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous progressively responsible administrative support experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and database management systems.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with academic programs, higher education institutions, and administrative/business procedures (such as accounts payable, purchasing, and general bookkeeping).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience supporting an accredited healthcare or health professions program.
  • Familiarity with ARC -PA accreditation standards and processes.
  • Previous experience in program coordination, project management, or academic administration.
  • Experience supporting accreditation activities, site visits, and assessment processes.

Position Purpose

The Physician Assistant (PA) Program Coordinator provides administrative, operational, andlogistical support to the Physician Assistant Program. The Program Coordinator ensuresefficient day-to-day operations while supporting compliance with accreditation standards,university policies, and program objectives. This position requires a highly organized, proactiveindividual who excels in planning, communication, problem-solving, and project management.
