Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a clinician to evaluate Veterans and provide comprehensive primary care in an outpatient setting. The role focuses on prevention, patient self-management, and evidence-based treatment plans across a panel of Veterans.

Your work involves performing physical exams, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring up-to-date care with emphasis on safety and continuity. Telework is possible Ad Hoc depending on agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: evaluate Veterans through their patient panel and focus on prevention and self-management
• Provide comprehensive primary care to male and female Veterans
• Perform physical examinations to support diagnosis and treatment plans
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans and engage in shared medical decision making
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge for comprehensive primary care
• Collaborate with Patient Aligned Care Team for timely, high-quality care
• Promote and follow approved care standards and safety protocols
• Coordinate with other health resources to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in continuous medical education including women’s health and opioid training
• May provide coverage for other clinics as needed
