Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Madison, WI seeks a Physician Assistant for the Primary Care Service Line. The PA will be part of the outpatient team, performing history and physical exams, coordinating care, and supporting patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARC-PA approved PA program.
• Licensed to prescribe controlled substances as permitted by state law.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a primary care team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical record entries reflecting the patient's healthcare.
• Act as the focal point of the designated outpatient clinic and coordinate referrals.
• Perform history and physical examinations to industry standards.
• Provide ongoing outpatient care and health promotion activities.
• Coordinate care with supervising physician and other services as needed.
