Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program required.
• ARC-PA approved PA program completion (prior to Jan 2001) as applicable.
• Current Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Current state licensure or eligibility for the state of Texas physician assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate and treat patients in the medical office setting under physician supervision.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests and communicate results to patients.
• Prescribe appropriate treatment and provide patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team for care management.
