Job summary

DHR Health is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) for the Orthopedic Institute in Edinburg, TX. This full-time Days role involves evaluating and treating patients under physician supervision, and developing treatment plans with ongoing collaboration.

Ideal candidates have an accredited PA program, Texas licensure or eligibility, NCCPA certification, and strong communication skills. Evening or weekend shifts may be required; ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PA program is required.
• ARC-PA approved program completion is required.
• Current NCCPA certification is required.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for Texas required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; good written and verbal communication.
• Some evening or weekend work will be required.
• ACLS or PALS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate and treat patients in the medical office setting under physician supervision.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians for care management and referrals as needed.
• Document patient care in records; meet CPOE requirements.
• Perform therapeutic procedures and assist in treatments as needed.
• Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and wellness.
