Meritus Health is launching the Meritus Personal Health Institute (MPHI) to pursue precision medicine and population health in rural Western Maryland. The Physician Assistant will join a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, longitudinal care, translating complex genomic and metabolic data into actionable health plans for participants.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Current Maryland Physician Assistant licensure or eligibility.
• Current Maryland prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS certification.
• Demonstrated clinical experience providing comprehensive patient care.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with Epic or other EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive intake assessments as part of standardized care.
• Obtain medical histories, perform physicals, and plan preventive care.
• Interpret laboratory, genomic, imaging results within PA scope.
• Identify risks and coordinate referrals for evaluation or treatment.
• Develop personalized preventive health plans with the team.
• Document findings and care plans in the Epic system.
