As part of an academic medical practice, our cardiothoracic surgeons use the latest techniques and technologies to deliver advanced care in collaboration with other pediatric specialists, including experts in cardiology, neonatology, and maternal-fetal medicine. We work with patients at all stages, including those diagnosed before birth, newborns, infants, children, teens, and even adults, to correct conditions affecting the heart and lungs. In addition to expertise, SLUCare cardiothoracic surgeons stand out for their genuine concern for young patients and their families. Job Highlights:

• Flexible full-time schedule of 4x10's or 5x8's
• Primary responsibilities of first assisting in the O.R. and the inpatient service
• Procedures performed include chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, central lines and wound vac management
• Call rotation responsibilities to cover IP/OR/ECMO
• Education with bedside nursing as well as patients/families
• We operate on patients, newborn through adulthood
• Join a collegial team of 3 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons and 4 APPs
