SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital in St. Louis, MO, seeks a compassionate Physician Assistant for our Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery team.

SLUCare cardiothoracic surgeons provide specialized treatments for congenital and acquired heart conditions in children, with a national ranking in pediatric cardiology and heart surgery. The team supports patients from birth through young adulthood in a collaborative academic setting.

Responsibilities

• First assisting in the OR and inpatient service.
• Procedures include chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, central lines and wound VAC management.
• Call rotation responsibilities to cover IP/OR/ECMO.
• Education with bedside nursing as well as patients/families.
• We operate on patients, newborn through adulthood.

• Flexible full-time schedule of 4x10s or 5x8s
• Primary responsibilities of first assisting in the O.R. and the inpatient service
• Procedures performed include chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, central lines and wound vac management

• Join a collegial team of 3 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons and 4 APPs
