Job summary

Indian Health Service seeks a Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team in an outpatient setting, delivering therapeutic and preventive services to individuals and communities.

The role emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education, including collaboration with families and community members. You will contribute to comprehensive care plans and participate in rotations and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Master of Physician Assistant Studies or an advanced degree with an accredited PA program.
• Certification by NCCPA and maintenance of CME and recertification.
• Active, full, and unrestricted PA license from a U.S. state.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive therapeutic and preventative health services in an outpatient setting.
• Identifies and manages illnesses; emphasizes preventive care.
• Familiarizes self with the communities and orients staff, tribal members, health board and leaders on health care issues.
• Serves in a teaching capacity and precepts students.
