Job summary

Allina Health is seeking an Orthopedic Physician Assistant for the United and East region, serving Saint Paul and Apple Valley clinics. The position involves 2-3 clinic days per week and 1-2 OR days per week, with 5x8 hour day shifts and on-call weekend rotations.

Clinic is 8am–4:30pm; surgery typically starts at 7am with mid-afternoon end times depending on cases. You will be in the call rotation—3-4 weekends per year—float among 3 MD teams, and provide care in inpatient and outpatient settings

Qualifications

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program.
• New Graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years' experience in Orthopedics preferred.

Job Description:

Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations as part of a Physician/Physician Assistant team. Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• New Graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years' experience in Orthopedics preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
• BLS Tier 1 - Multisource required within 180 Days
• Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire
• Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire

Pay Range

Pay Range: $126,006 to $144,206 per yearThe pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
