Job summary

This full-time role supports two physicians, with clinic and OR responsibilities at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and West Health ASC. A balanced schedule, no overnight shifts, and strong nursing support enable excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree completion of accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission.
• Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments and determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
• Multidisciplinary team approach to treat complex conditions.
• Provides surgical assistance in OR for vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgeries.
• Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice or unclear plan.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, chronic condition management, and preventive wellness.
• Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.

• Join a growing Urogynecology practice. Team of 7 clinicians
• Our APP's support two physicians
• Major procedures will be performed at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and minor procedures at West Health ASC
• Robust nursing support for clinic
• APP's support Urodynamics
• Collaborates with multiple specialties within Allina Health system (Colorectal, OB/GYN, PFPT, Urology, etc.)
• Excellian, our EMR, is a software product from Epic and is considered one of the most comprehensive systems in the nation
• Abbott Northwestern Hospital with ability to cover multiple sites including, but not limited to United Hospital, Bandana Square Clinic & Lakeville Specialty Clinic
• Setting: Clinic and OR setting
• Schedule: Full-time schedule with OR time and occasional call

Job Description

• Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
• System-wide referral source spanning the twin cities and outlying areas.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, chronic condition management, and preventive wellness
• Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.

Job Requirements

• Master's degree completion of accredited Physician Assistant program
• Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission
• Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
• BLS - Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
• Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
• Minimum 1 year PA experience preferred
• Surgical experience preferred

Pay Range

Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
