The Physician Assistant practices as a direct patient healthcare provider under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and evaluating patients, obtaining health histories, performing physical exams, ordering tests, assisting in procedures, providing patient care in various settings, and educating patients and staff. The role requires practicing within the guidelines of the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years PA experience preferred
• Four years of healthcare experience preferred
• Degree from an accredited physician assistant program
• Current licensure with South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners
• Current NCCPA certification
• Current DEA registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire; recertification every two years; ACLS preferred
