Position Description
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Team is seeking a part-time Advanced Practitioner to join the only accredited Level 1 Trauma Center in Lancaster County. Join a collaborative team of nine surgeons and ten Advanced Practice Providers who ensure 24 hour/7 day coverage to respond to any emergency and who work closely with Penn Medicine Lancaster General’s Neurosurgical Trauma team and Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster. Our Advanced Practitioners have the opportunity to be involved in resident education with our rotating students from PCOM as well as serve as preceptors to APPs rotating on the service. This practice covers traumatic injuries and emergency surgeries, including acute appendicitis, cholecystitis, and bowel perforations. Our operating room readiness, trauma bay resuscitation, and critical care teams operate around the clock with advanced tools for high-quality care. The team also provides critical care for patients in the Trauma Neuro ICU, working collaboratively with neurology stroke services.
Hours: Full-time, Night/Day rotation with majority of shifts on Nights (13-hour shifts 8pm-9am and 8am-9pm). Weekend (every 2-3 weeks) and holiday rotations.
