In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to maximize the hospital's financial performance and contribute to the overall healthcare system's strategic and operational goals through innovative leadership and accountability.
Your Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related Finance major.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a hospital accounting environment, with 1 - 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Proficient in computer use, financial statement development, and monitoring of accounting practices.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
Your Job Responsibilities :
- Coordinate the hospital's formal budget program, including capital, salary, productivity, supply, expense, and revenue budgets, in accordance with MHS Corporate Finance policies and procedures.
- Perform analyses and reviews to ensure budgetary oversight and compliance on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Manage hospital financial processes through collaboration with hospital executives, cost center managers, and corporate departments to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Analyze and report financial and statistical data to administration, department managers, and Corporate Finance.
- Coordinate hospital participation with Business Development and Corporate Finance for service expansion and new hospital services.
- Assist in preparing statistical and financial reports for external agencies under Corporate Finance oversight.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, MHS standards, controls, organizational goals, policies, procedures, and contracts, providing leadership and oversight.
- Serve as the hospital's Compliance Officer and primary contact for internal audits, participating in relevant oversight and compliance committees.
- Participate in monthly Corporate Financial close meetings.
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance on the Charge Description Master.
- Lead financial education and orientation initiatives for hospital staff.
- Act as the hospital's administrative liaison to corporate departments such as case management, accounting, information systems, materials management, admitting/registration, and health information management.
