Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) with RNFA certification and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a dynamic Sports Orthopedic Surgery team in Fresno, California. The role supports a busy orthopedic practice and collaborates with a Sports Orthopedic Surgeon and multidisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• NP candidates must hold RNFA certification.
• Current and unrestricted California NP or PA license.
• DEA registration and CS certification.
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred.
• National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP or NCCPA for PA).
• Minimum of 3 years of surgical/perioperative first assist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Surgical First Assist during orthopedic procedures, maintaining surgical safety standards.
• Provide perioperative patient care from pre-op to post-op.
• Conduct inpatient rounds and outpatient follow-ups for continuity of care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and assist in treatment planning.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, nurses, therapists, and other clinicians.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, rehabilitation, and recovery expectations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in shared orthopedic call responsibilities.

Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner (NP) with RNFA certification and/or Physician Assistant (PA)to join a dynamic Sports Orthopedic Surgery teamin Fresno, California. This position supports a busy, growing orthopedic practice and works in close collaboration with a Sports Orthopedic Surgeon and multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Surgical First Assistduring orthopedic procedures, following best practices and maintaining surgical safety standards.
• Provide perioperative patient care, including pre-operative evaluations, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative management.
• Conduct inpatient rounds and outpatient follow-upsto ensure continuity of care and optimal recovery outcomes.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and assist in treatment planning.
• Coordinate and manage the care of assigned patients, including directing ancillary clinical staff as appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, surgical procedures, rehabilitation plans, and recovery expectations.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Participate in shared general orthopedic call responsibilitiesas part of the care team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• NP candidates must hold RNFA certification
• Current and unrestricted California NP or PA license
• DEA registrationand Controlled Substance certification
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Current national certification (AANP/ANCC for NP or NCCPA for PA)
• Minimum of 3 years of surgical/perioperative first assist experience preferred
• Experience in orthopedic or sports medicine surgery strongly preferred
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges at Saint Agnes Medical Center

Work Schedule

• Pay Range:$64.62 - $103.38 per hour
