Job description

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:

1. Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
2. Obtaining comprehensive patient histories and performing physical exams for both new and return patients.
3. Performing pre-operative, post-operative, and urgent ORL evaluations in the ORL clinic.
4. Assisting with procedures both in the clinic setting and in the operating room.
5. Participating in multidisciplinary clinics and communicating effectively with all members of the team.
6. Ordering necessary diagnostic tests, consultations, and procedures and issuing appropriate prescriptions/medications.
7. Actively participating in Department of ORL educational meetings and conferences.
8. Participating in research project opportunities.
9. Working 40 hours per week, four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday and will rotate between Boston, Lexington, Waltham, Needham, Weymouth as well as North Dartmouth and Peabody as needed.

To qualify, you must have:

1. A current Massachusetts PA or NP license. If a Nurse Practitioner, must also have a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification.
2. Previous OR experience is preferred.
3. Prior Otolaryngology/Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
4. New grad PAs will be considered.
