About the Lead APP Role and Neuro ICU
This position is 40 hrs., with a variable rotating schedule, including night, evening, and/or weekend coverage. Time is reserved for administrative responsibilities.
The Division of Neurocritical Care (NCC), in collaboration with the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU), provides 24/7 inpatient care that is comprehensive, compassionate, and technologically advanced, focusing on patient and family-centered care for critically ill neurological patients. This includes advanced diagnostics, treatments, education, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical research.
The Neuro ICU employs a multidisciplinary care model with attendings, nursing staff, and clinicians including APPs, residents, and fellows collaborating fully in patient care.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced APP to join as Lead APP. Under the guidance of the Associate Medical Director and Nursing Director of Neuroscience ICU and NCC leadership, the Lead APP is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, staff training and development, and advancing the Neurocritical Care Program.
Assist leadership in hiring, performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and credentialing. Note: The position does not directly supervise APPs, but this may be re-evaluated as the unit grows.
