Job summary

NRT | Foundry Treatment Center is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a temporary 5-month assignment at Foundry Front Range (Broomfield, CO). The role involves patient assessment, diagnosing, formulating treatment plans, prescribing medications, and education, with on-call duties and ~40–45 hours weekly.

Colorado-licensed PMHNP or PA-C is required, along with DEA and BLS. The candidate should have 2+ years of relevant experience, strong ethics, and HIPAA

Responsibilities

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Temporary/Contract (5-Month Assignment)

Rate: $65-$85 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Approximately 40-45 hours per week, on call availability

Duration: Approximately 4.5 months starting mid-October

Job Site: Foundry Front Range (Broomfield, CO)

Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient assessment and diagnosis, formulates treatment plans, prescribes medications, orders laboratory tests, and provides patient education, while maintaining safety standards and delivering consistent quality patient care. This position requires extensive medical knowledgeas well as psychiatry experience.

Qualifications:

• Physician Assistant degree or Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Must be licensed in the state of Colorado as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA-C and registered with DORA.
• DEA required.
• Malpractice insurance required.
• Must have 2+ years experience; psychiatric and/or substance abuse/detox experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Must have the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with physicians, staff, clients, and families.
• Ability to be compassionate to those needing and receiving services.
• Clinical charting and documentation according to JCAHO and BHA standards.
• Impeccable ethics, integrity, and patient relations skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills.
• Sound medical judgment and decision making skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Proficient with Google Suite or related software.

Responsibilities:

• Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.

• Prescribe treatments, including medication and simple office procedures.
• Educate clients and their families.
• Consult other physicians as appropriate.
• Ensure that all client care is delivered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Maintain documentation of services including service plans, progress notes, medication informed consent, treatment plan reviews, and other required information.
• Complete detox admission/discharge summary and RTC/PHP discharge summary as indicated by level of care.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO, local, state, and federal policies and regulations, including accurate recordkeeping.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working/typing on a computer.
• Climbing stairs, walking, bending, reaching, sitting, standing, using hands, see, talk, hear.
• Exposure to a medical and clinical environment.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
