Job summary

Paylocity Front Range is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Broomfield, CO to provide comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, education, and treatment planning. You will order tests, prescribe medications, and ensure safety and quality care in a fast-paced environment.

The role reports to the Medical Director, requires CO licensure, 2+ years of clinical experience (psychiatric/substance abuse experience preferred) and BLS.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Colorado license as NP or PA-C.
• 2+ years of clinical experience; psych/ detox preferred.
• MSN or PA degree from an accredited program; BLS required.

Responsibilities

Job Category: Salary | Exempt | Full-Time

Salary Range: $120,000 to $137,000/year (Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience)

Job Site: Foundry Front Range (Broomfield)

Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient assessment and diagnosis, performs simple office procedures, formulates treatment plans, prescribes medications, orders laboratory tests, and provides patient education, while maintaining safety standards and delivering consistent quality patient care.

Education and Experience:

• Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university, or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must be licensed in the state of Colorado as a Nurse Practitioner or PA-C and registered with DORA.
• Must have 2+ years experience, psychiatric and/or substance abuse/detox experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide direct client care via health services, education, counseling, and emotional support with compassion.
• Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose conditions.
• Prescribe treatments, including medication and simple office procedures.
• Educate clients and their families.
• Consult other physicians as appropriate.
• Ensure that all client care is delivered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Maintain documentation of services including service plans, progress notes, medication informed consent, treatment plan reviews, and other required information.
• Collaborate with Medical Providers, Director of Operations, and Clinical Director to create and implement standard-of-care guidelines.
• Complete detox admission/discharge summary and RTC/PHP discharge summary as indicated by level of care.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO, local, state, and federal policies and regulations, including accurate recordkeeping.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working/typing on a computer.
• Climbing stairs, walking, bending, reaching, sitting, standing, using hands, see, talk, hear.
• Exposure to a medical and clinical environment.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
• Driving in all weather conditions.
