Job summary

Foundry Front Range in Broomfield, CO seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide patient assessment and diagnosis, prescribe medications, order tests, and educate patients. On-site, contractor role starting mid-October for about 4.5 months with on-call availability.

Requires CO PA-C or NP license, DEA, malpractice insurance, BLS, and 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in psychiatric/detox settings. Proficiency with EMR and Google Suite is expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed PA-C or NP in Colorado with active license and DORA registration.
• DEA license and malpractice insurance required.
• 2+ years experience; psychiatric and/or detox experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficient with EMR and Google Suite; able to learn the EMR system quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care via health services, education, counseling, and support.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe treatments.
• Educate clients and families.
• Consult other physicians as appropriate.
• Ensure care delivered in accordance with laws and ethical standards.
• Maintain documentation including service plans and progress notes.
• Complete detox admission/discharge and RTC/PHP discharge summaries as indicated.

Summary

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner provides patient assessment and diagnosis, performs simple office procedures, formulates treatment plans, prescribes medications, orders laboratory tests, and provides patient education, while maintaining safety standards and delivering consistent quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant degree or Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Must be actively licensed in the state of Colorado as a PA-C or NP and registered with DORA.
• DEA required.
• Malpractice insurance required.
• Must have 2+ years experience, psychiatric and/or substance abuse/detox experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Must have the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with physicians, staff, clients, and families.
• Ability to be compassionate to those needing and receiving services.
• Clinical charting and documentation according to JCAHO and BHA standards.
• Impeccable ethics, integrity, and patient relations skills.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working/typing on a computer.
