Job Summary: Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Surgery Institute is seeking a full-time physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our growing cardiology practice in the Western Region - State College, Pennsylvania.

Job Duties:

• The Advanced Practitioner will have a practice that includes outpatient clinic work in State College and inpatient consultations at the assigned base hospital. This position offers no call but includes rotating weekend coverage.
• The Physician Assistant candidate must work under the supervision of a physician, have completed an ARC-PA approved program, hold current NCCPA certification or be eligible, and possess Pennsylvania state licensure.
• The Nurse Practitioner candidate must collaborate with a physician, have completed an approved NP program or be eligible for national certification, and be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania.

Position Details:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (required), Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience: Relevant clinical experience.
• Certifications and Licenses: Basic Life Support certification; NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants; NP certification and PA licensure eligibility for Nurse Practitioners.
