Job summary

A Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner role in Albuquerque, NM, offering full-scope cardiac and thoracic care within a high-impact team. You will join a tight-knit group of CT surgeons and APCs, with robot-assisted capabilities and a strong relocation/sign-on package.

This position requires CT/thoracic surgical experience, NM licensure (or ability to obtain), and NP or PA-C credentials.

Qualifications

• Experience in CT, thoracic, or congenital cardiac surgery is required.
• NM license or ability to obtain before start; DEA; ACLS; BLS.
• NP: Master’s in Nursing or PA-C certification.

Responsibilities

• First-assist in OR for full-scope cardiothoracic cases.
• Pre- and post-op office visits.
• Daily rounds and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with surgeons and APCs to ensure quality care.
• Support growing robotic and thoracic surgical services.

About You

• Be able to do the job as described
• Prior experience in CT, thoracic, or congenital cardiac surgery required (no new grads)
• EVH experience needed
• Robotic surgical experience preferred
• NP: Master's in Nursing or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• NM license or able to obtain before start, DEA, ACLS, BLS

• Daily rounding, chest tube/pacer wire removals, and discharge planning
• Collaborate closely with surgeons and APCs to ensure seamless, quality care
