Job summary

Concentra's on-site Occupational Medicine and Primary Care practice in Dearborn, MI seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team PRN. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of urgent care/occupational medicine experience and will provide direct patient care in a busy on-site clinic.

You will perform examinations, order tests, administer vaccines and injections, manage follow-up care, and support workplace health programs.

Concentra On-Site Occupational Medicine / Primary Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner PRN

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM - 4 PM; PRN coverage as needed

Location: Dearborn, MI

Hourly Rate: $70 - $75

We are seeking a highly experienced and mission-driven Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our client's on-site Occupational Medicine practice. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience as a PA/NP in an urgent care/occupational medicine setting. Scope of care includes Occupational Medicine: work-related injuries and follow-up care, non-injury physicals, and ancillary services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Spends 100% of time in the onsite clinic providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
• Ensures day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model collaborating with members of the healthcare team to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
• Accountable for monitoring, understanding, and effecting key onsite clinic metrics that relate to quality outcomes.
• Advanced Primary Care - chronic condition management, gaps in care, preventive health and age-appropriate screenings, vaccinations, SDOH, wellness initiatives, clinic utilization and patient satisfaction.
• Occupational Medicine - timely return to work measures after an injury on the job, case duration, lost time, work duty status, reduction in work-related illnesses and improved functional capacity.
• Provides direct patient care through compilation of the medical history, conduction of the physical exam, diagnosis, and the development of appropriate treatment plans.
• Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
• Maintains timely, accurate and detailed patient records and paperwork.
• Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
• Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
• Listens to and understands internal and external client needs.
• Assists in the development, implementation and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of clinical care.
• Assists in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs.
• Provides excellent and compassionate customer service to all patients, clients and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.

Education/Credentials

Major:

Degree must be from an accredited college or university.

• Bachelors’ degree in related health field from an accredited college or university
• Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program) / Masters of Science in Nurse Practitioner Studies (graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program)

Certifications and/or Licenses:

• Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE), or NP equivalent
• Current licensed physician assistant / nurse practitioner in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice
• Must maintain work state licensure throughout the course of employment

Job-Related Experience

Customarily has at least the following experience:

2-3 years

• Customarily has at least two to three years of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care or an emergency setting
