Job description

For an experienced advanced practice provider ready to shape a high-impact orthopedic practice, this opportunity offers the rare combination of meaningful autonomy, close surgeon partnership, and an exceptional mountain lifestyle. The healthcare organization is seeking an Orthopedic Physician Assistant who wants to contribute across the continuum of care while building lasting relationships with patients and clinical colleagues.

The hospital provides a supportive practice environment where capable clinicians can make decisions, influence workflows, and remain closely connected to leadership. Stable interdisciplinary relationships, thoughtful onboarding, and accessible clinical resources enable the incoming provider to focus quickly on quality care. The culture values accountability, communication, and professional judgment, creating long-term career growth for a PA interested in expanding both clinical expertise and operational influence.

Joining an established orthopedic program, the Orthopedic Physician Assistant will practice across outpatient evaluation, perioperative care, surgical support, follow-up, and care coordination. This surgical and clinical practice is supported by a collaborative orthopedic team committed to patient-centered care, efficient workflow, and continuity throughout the episode of care. Working directly with orthopedic physicians, nursing, rehabilitation, imaging, and ancillary services, the PA will help manage daily priorities, advance quality improvement, and strengthen the patient experience in a beautiful Eastern Sierra setting.

The Orthopedic Surgery PA will work under designated clinical and administrative leadership while maintaining meaningful authority within the approved scope of practice. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, assisting with treatment planning and procedures, supporting operative care as credentialed, monitoring recovery, facilitating referrals, and communicating clinical changes to the appropriate physician. Through visible interdisciplinary collaboration, this provider will also help improve clinic flow, support staff development, reinforce evidence-based standards, and align orthopedic services with broader organizational goals.

Eastern Sierra California offers an uncommon balance of professional purpose and everyday quality of life. Residents enjoy four-season outdoor recreation, open landscapes, a relaxed community atmosphere, and commutes that leave more time for family and personal interests. The region is particularly appealing to people drawn to hiking, skiing, climbing, fishing, cycling, and uncrowded natural surroundings, while its close-knit mountain communities provide a welcome alternative to congested metropolitan living.

The organization offers a competitive compensation range based on experience, credentials, and final scope, with specific figures available during a confidential recruiter conversation. The overall package is expected to include comprehensive healthcare coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, continuing education support, and opportunities for leadership development.
