Job summary

Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville, North Carolina is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Occupational Medicine and Onsite Wellness team. The APP will deliver high-quality clinical services across employer-based occupational health settings, working under physician supervision.

This role requires independent clinical judgment, strong documentation skills. Responsibilities include conducting occupational medicine evaluations, OSHA surveillance exams, DOT/FMCSA medicals,

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required; NCCPA-accredited PA program graduate.
• Current PA license in the appropriate state; NCCPA certification or registry with state nursing board.
• BLS and DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational medicine evaluations including pre-placement and return-to-work exams.
• Conduct OSHA medical surveillance exams (respiratory, hearing, silica, HAZMAT, BBP).
• Manage work-related injuries and workers' compensation cases.
• Conduct DOT/FMCSA medical examinations; NRCME certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Document encounters in the EHR; collaborate with HR and safety managers to support return-to-work.
