Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is hiring a PA-C or APRN for the Inpatient APP Department on the Night Shift (PRN). The clinician will provide post-operative and inpatient care within a defined scope of practice, coordinating with physicians and interprofessional teams to deliver high-quality cancer care.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree at minimum (master’s preferred), an active Florida medical license, national certification, and BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain one; national certification.
• Active BLS and ACLS (AHA approved).
• Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; prior specific oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team for postoperative and inpatient care.
• Responds to inpatient consults and coordinates with other providers.
• Formulates treatment plans within scope of practice and documents care per medical staff rules.
• May perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice and prescribe medications when appropriate.

Particular knowledge and care of these wounds is beneficial.The inpatient care will also include discharge planning and management under the guidance of the attending. This position will work closely with Residents and Fellows to care for the patients.This position will also attend to inpatient consults as requested. Assessment and escalation are critical components of this position.Credentials and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse program.Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and national certification by the appropriate accreditation body.Active BLS and ACLS. (Must be AHA approved)Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; previous specific experience preferred.Salary Range$131,892.80 - $201,052.80Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
