Job summary

The Division of Pulmonary at MidHudson Regional Hospital, in collaboration with WMCHealth’s Center for Advanced Practice, is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Advanced Practice Provider (APP), PA or NP, to join our expanding service. The APP will work with physician and APP colleagues on inpatient and ambulatory pulmonary care, including interventional pulmonology, in a community setting.

Primarily schedule Monday - Friday; strong emphasis on collaboration, evaluation, treatment, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Board-certified PA or NP with NY licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year experience in pulmonary care; new graduates considered.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Performing medical evaluations, treatment, follow-up and consultations for diverse pulmonary patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Delivering direct patient care as part of a collaborative team.
• Gaining competency in clinical workflows, protocols and procedures in pulmonary care.

Role Highlights

• Gaining a working competency of clinical workflows, protocols, and applicable procedures necessary in the comprehensive approach in the care of the pulmonary patient.

Who We’re Looking For

• Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess or be able to obtain a license in New York.
• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year experience, although highly motivated new graduates with interests and abilities in the care of pulmonary patients will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
