Job summary

Decatur Morgan Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to collaborate with the physician in an active inpatient and outpatient practice. You will provide health care services, diagnose and treat conditions, and prescribe medications within delegation.

The role involves ongoing collaboration and adherence to vaccination requirements for immunocompromised patients. Requirements include graduation from an accredited school, AL PA or NP license, and at least two years in an

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school.
• Current AL PA license or AL NP license.
• Two years' experience, preferably in an infectious disease field.
• Proof of current vaccinations, including boosters for immunocompromised patients (MMR, varicella, Hep A&B, influenza, COVID-19).

Responsibilities

• Work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient and outpatient practice to deliver health care services to our patients.
• Diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health problems.
• Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic treatment.
• Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
• Ordering, interpreting and performing laboratory and radiology tests.
• Prescribing medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated.
• Performing other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated.
