Essential Functions And Responsibilities Of The Job

• Clinical Care Delivery: Conduct comprehensive wellness exams, take detailed medical histories, perform physical examinations, and document preventative health metrics.
• Diagnosis & Treatment Management: Formulate accurate diagnoses, order and interpret diagnostic studies (radiology, laboratory data), and develop evidence-based short- and long-term treatment plans.
• Clinical Procedures: Perform minor, routine office-based procedures (e.g., suturing, minor skin/nail excisions, wart removals) safely and effectively.
• Prescription & Care Coordination: Prescribe medications and therapies in compliance with California state regulations and DEA guidelines. Facilitate timely specialist referrals and therapeutic consultations.
• Patient Education: Counsel and educate patients and families regarding chronic disease paths, preventive lifestyle modifications, and treatment compliance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain rigorous, timely chart documentation within the EHR. Maintain appropriate supervisory relationships (for PAs) or standardized procedure protocols/independent review standards (for NPs) in strict accordance with California state laws.

Experience

• Clinical Expertise: Strong foundation in adult and geriatric primary care medicine with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience in an outpatient primary care setting.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain complex medical data clearly to patients, families, and team members.
• Tech-Savviness: Proficiency with modern EHR systems, digital scheduling interfaces, and virtual care platforms.
• Administrative Readiness: Possess an active National Provider Identifier (NPI) and meet all current Medicare/commercial insurance billing requirements.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active, unrestricted California State License (PA-C or NP).
• Active DEA License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / ACLS Certification.
