Job summary

American Family Care Concord is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. The role focuses on assessing patient needs and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.

The candidate should have 1-3 years of independent patient encounter experience, be an excellent communicator, and hold active PA/NP licensure with DEA and state CDS as required. DOT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience managing patient encounters independently as a solo provider.
  • Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Board Certification ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA – ER/UC experience preferred.
  • Active PA/NP license in state of practice, DEA number, and state CDS certificate as required.
  • DOT Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Take complete medical histories and develop assessments, order labs/imaging as needed.
  • Diagnose and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate facilities or resources.
  • Manage emergencies and provide stabilization in cardiac arrest, shock, or poisoning cases.
  • Interpret patient data to determine status and plan treatment.
  • Provide health guidance to patients and families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Urgent Care clinical settings, and possess the ability to provide high-quality patient care. As a NP/PA, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint, race, sex, and physical condition of the patient
  • Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, and other resources of the community or physician
  • Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
  • Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment
  • Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health care promotion to patients/family/ significant others
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
