Job summary

Vision Technology Inc. in San Antonio, TX seeks a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for an immediate, full-time contract in our outpatient Surgical/Oncology clinic.

The role covers clinical assessments, diagnostics, wound care, and surgical support within a multidisciplinary team, with hours Mon-Fri 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. Requires Master’s in PA/NP, board certification, active US license, DEA registration, and 2+ years of recent PA/NP experience; experience in government or public

Physician Assistant (PA-C) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) – URGENT HIRESpecialties: Surgery, Oncology, Wound Care, & Colorectal Surgery Location: San Antonio, TX 78234 (In-Person)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for an immediate opening within our surgical and oncology departments. This is a full-time contract position providing critical outpatient care. You will work in a high-demand environment, performing clinical assessments, diagnostics, and surgical support within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Education & Certification

• Graduate of an accredited Master’s program (PA or NP).
• Board Certified (NCCPA for PAs; ANCC or AANP for NPs).
• Current BLS and ALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Foreign Medical Graduates: Must possess a valid ECFMG certificate.

2. Licensure

• Active & Unrestricted Medical License in any U.S. State, DC, or Territory.
• Current DEA Registration (must correspond with the medical license).

3. Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience within the last 2 years as a PA or NP.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting is required.
• Preferred: Prior experience in government healthcare facilities or public health.

4. Clinical Skills

• Expertise in clinical assessment, diagnostics, and wound care.
• Proficiency with EHR systems (Electronic Health Records).
• Strong independent decision-making skills and team-oriented mindset.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Setting: Outpatient Surgical/Oncology clinic.
• Hours: Monday – Friday, between 0600 and 1800 (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
• Standard Shift: 8-hour shifts, averaging 40 hours per week.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and assist with patient lifting as required for care.
