Comprehensive Medicine is offering a unique position!
We are an IM practice that values continuity of care. Our facilities include an urgent care and a primary care office located in Alpine, CA (just 15 minutes east of El Cajon).
We also provide house calls at assisted living facilities, retirement homes, and private residences across San Diego. For mobile house calls, we serve as patients' primary care providers in their own environments. We collaborate with third-party services for x-rays, blood work, ultrasound, and EKGs at home. Our patient demographic is diverse, and we work closely with facility staff, home health, and hospice providers. There may also be opportunities for in-office primary care.
In our Alpine urgent care, we handle typical urgent care cases, utilizing POC lab testing, X-ray services, and procedures such as suturing and IV placement. Strong medical decision-making skills are essential.
We seek candidates interested in a mix of these roles. Our team comprises approximately 30 employees in a non-corporate, small practice environment that fosters a family-like atmosphere. We prioritize long-term relationships and base compensation on experience and team integration success.
This position offers a broad spectrum of medical experience, significant autonomy, and ample support from mid-level providers, physicians, and administrative staff as needed.
Customer service is paramount; we treat our patients like family. Effective communication, teamwork, and a willingness to go the extra mile are valued. We also emphasize work-life balance. Our charting is done with Athena EMR.
Benefits include 6 paid holidays, 80 hours PTO in the first year (increasing to 120 hours annually after one year), $500 CME allowance annually, mileage reimbursement, a 401K plan with match after one year, and comprehensive insurance coverage (100% life, dental, vision; 80% health). Malpractice insurance is provided, and there is no on-call requirement.
This is an excellent opportunity to expand your medical expertise in a supportive, family-oriented environment where old-fashioned house calls meet modern medicine.
