MyStethi, LLC in Palm Springs is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support inpatient neurosurgery consults and outpatient care at a Level 1 trauma center in the Coachella Valley.

The APP will work 4 shifts per week (10 hours each) with weekend rotation, assisting in elective and emergent surgeries and providing post-op/clinic care. Overtime opportunities are available to supplement earnings.

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA/NP) with neurosurgery experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
  • PA license to practice in the state; CPR and DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physician assistant services to patients under physician supervision.
  • Complete documentation of patient care activities per policy.
  • Assist with inpatient neurosurgery consults and elective surgeries.
  • Care for post-op and elective patients in outpatient clinic.
  • Support quality assurance and safety activities as required.

Job Summary

Join a dynamic team of Neurosurgeons and advanced practice providers in providing exceptional care to the Coachella Valley community at an exciting Level 1 trauma center in beautiful Palm Springs California. We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to assist in the management of inpatient consults, as well as provide support in the outpatient clinic setting.

Position Details:

  • Shifts: 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours. Weekend coverage rotation
  • Inpatient Consults: Assist with the evaluation and management of inpatient neurosurgery consults.
  • Assist with elective and emergent surgery.
  • Clinic: APP provides care of post op and elective patients in the outpatient clinic.
  • Overtime: Ample opportunity for additional hours and overtime.
  • Salary Range: 150,000 - 176,800

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (NP/PA) with experience in neurosurgery or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to high-quality patient care.
  • Physician Assistant license to practice in the state. CPR Certified. DEA registration with state.
Responsibilities
  • Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
  • Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Provide physician assistant services to patients as directed by the physician’s patient care plan and supervised by the physician
  • Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
  • Fulfill all duties assigned by physician
  • Reports to the attending physician of any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
  • Participates in patient review conferences and staffing
  • Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, Safety Committee activities
  • Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
  • Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
  • Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
  • Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory and clinic assistant staff.
  • Orders medications.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required: PA licensure; DEA eligible. Additional certification(s) per governing board and in accordance with the facility Medical Staff Bylaws.
