Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Scottish Rite Hospital, in partnership with Pediatrix Neonatology of Atlanta, offers a Neonatal Physician Assistant Residency. The 12-month program blends mentoring, didactic teaching, simulations, and clinical experiences in a 39-bed Level IV NICU to develop subspecialty expertise in neonatology.

Open to newly graduated PAs who wish to pursue neonatology, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, high-quality care, and comprehensive resident support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• New graduates welcome for Neonatal Residency.
• Must be eligible for Georgia PA licensure.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month neonatal residency with mentoring and didactic teaching.
• Engage in simulations, skills training, and clinical experiences in a Level IV NICU.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and NNPs to deliver team-based neonatal care.

We are seeking experienced Neonatal Physician Assistants (PAs) as well as Newly graduated PAs interested in joining our Neonatal Residency. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our our dynamic team, which includes five experienced neonatologists and four skilled nurse practitioners. Together, we provide exceptional care to our tiniest and most vulnerable patients at the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Scottish Rite Hospital.

Neonatal Residency Details

The Physician Assistant Neonatal Residency with Pediatrix Neonatology of Atlanta is a 12-month intensive program designed for graduate physician assistants (PAs) seeking to subspecialize in neonatology. This Residency will provide the PA with the crucial skills needed to deliver comprehensive, team-based care for high-risk and convalescing newborns, and includes:
