The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join the MSICU team, delivering high-level critical care under the supervision of attending physicians.
The PA will collaborate with pharmacists, ICU nurses, and specialists to support diverse medical and surgical patients. Responsibilities include patient assessments, ordering tests and medications, developing care plans, and documenting care.

The Medical-Surgical ICU (MSICU) at Brigham and Women's Hospital is a pioneering 10-bed unit and the first Physician Assistant‑run ICU in our hospital. Our PAs practice at the highest level of their license, providing comprehensive critical care to a diverse mix of medical and surgical patients in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. Our clinical team is supported by critical care‑trained attending physicians with expertise spanning Acute Care Surgery, Pulmonary Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Radiology. We also work alongside a critical care‑specialized pharmacist, respiratory therapists, and experienced ICU nurses — giving our PAs access to exceptional interdisciplinary collaboration and mentorship at every level of care. The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed provider. The PA is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes.
