This Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA) position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation reimbursement, with additional incentives based on productivity and retention. The role includes billable hours, shift and holiday differentials, and monthly bonuses.
Position details include:
The provider will be employed by the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine, working with ICU staff across various units, including cardiothoracic, surgical, burn/trauma, medical/surgical ICUs, and telemedicine, based on experience and interests.
The role involves practicing independently in collaboration with a fellowship-trained intensivist within diverse, skilled critical care teams. The environment is challenging and rewarding, allowing full scope of practice.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Includes taking medical histories, conducting physical exams, participating in rounds, ordering/interpreting tests, designing care plans, and performing invasive procedures. Typical provider:patient ratio is 1:6. The environment promotes skill development through stimulating work, educational offerings, procedural simulation, and other learning opportunities.

Education: M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies
Certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), PA licensure in Missouri or ability to obtain within 3 months, and other certifications as needed.

Preferred qualifications include critical care experience and familiarity with devices used in cardiothoracic surgery. Relevant experience (1 year) and skills such as patient management, communication, and use of Epic EHR are also preferred.
Salary range: $100,700 - $181,200 annually, determined by qualifications and performance.
