Additional Information About the Role

• Full Time, 40 hr / week, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
• One weekend in 6-week rotation, No Holidays, No on-call requirements

NP / PA Cardiology experience ideal but open to background in telemetry, ED, ICU, med surg. Open to New Grads with the background in Cardiology.

Role Purpose

The Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice nurse utilizing high-level knowledge, skills, and competence in a specialized patient care area. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, initiating care plans, and evaluating outcomes within a collaborative practice agreement with physicians.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in professional development
2. Manage healthcare for patient populations with compassion, through advanced assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation, within a collaborative agreement with physicians
3. Review prescriptive responsibilities with collaborative physicians
4. Coordinate patient care, promote health and wellness through education, service coordination, and referrals
5. Assess staff development needs and deliver educational programs accordingly
6. Develop treatment plans and treat patients with acute problems, including illnesses and minor injuries, following established protocols in collaboration with physicians

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program
• Experience: Less than 2 years, open to new grads with cardiology background
• Licenses & Certifications: Nurse Practitioner, RN
