Job summary

HealthYes Staffing Network seeks an experienced Physician Assistant for geriatric facility-based care across South Florida. You will deliver primary, preventive, and acute care to adult and geriatric patients in ALF, ILF, and SNF settings with a flexible, productivity-driven schedule.

Coverage spans Broward and Palm Beach counties, with a high degree of clinical autonomy and physician-supported practice. Expect about 12–15 patient encounters per day and the ability to tailor days around facility

Qualifications

• Florida PA license active and in good standing.
• NCCPA board certification active.
• DEA registration active.
• Experience in geriatrics, internal medicine, post-acute care, SNF or long-term care preferred.
• Ability to work with substantial autonomy and travel among facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, preventive, and acute care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and follow-ups.
• Manage hypertension, diabetes, dementia, and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications within Florida scope.
• Coordinate care with physicians and facility teams.

Physician Assistant – Geriatric Facility-Based Care

Location: South Florida – Broward and Palm Beach Counties
Schedule: Full-Time, Flexible Facility-Based Schedule
Compensation: Approximately $140,000 - $160,000 annually at expected productivity

HealthYes Staffing Network is recruiting an experienced Physician Assistant for a growing Internal Medicine practice providing primary and preventive care to adult and geriatric patients throughout South Florida.

The position covers Assisted Living Facilities, Independent Living Facilities, and Skilled Nursing Facilities across Broward and Palm Beach counties. Providers manage established patient populations while receiving considerable flexibility to organize their days around patient and facility responsibilities.

The expected productivity level is about 12–15 patients per day. Depending on patient needs and daily volume, some workdays may be shorter while others may require a full clinical day.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, preventive, and acute care to adult and geriatric patients
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and routine follow-up visits
• Evaluate changes in condition and acute medical concerns
• Diagnose and manage hypertension, diabetes, dementia, and other chronic conditions
• Manage medications and prescribe within applicable Florida regulations
• Complete clinical orders and individualized care plans
• Coordinate care with physicians, facility teams, specialists, patients, and families
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning when appropriate
• Address applicable HEDIS, quality measures, and risk-adjustment requirements
• Maintain complete and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks
• Independently manage assigned patients and facility responsibilities

Qualifications

• Active Florida Physician Assistant license
• Current NCCPA board certification
• Active DEA registration required
• Prior clinical practice experience required
• Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, post-acute care, skilled nursing, or long-term-care experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Comfortable practicing with substantial autonomy
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel among assigned facilities
• Medicare credentialing preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and care-coordination skills
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain personal professional liability/malpractice insurance

Compensation and Employment Terms

Annual compensation is approximately $140,000 - $160,000 when meeting the expected productivity level of approximately 12-15 patient encounters per day.

• The selected provider will be responsible for obtaining, maintaining, and paying for their own professional liability/malpractice insurance at the coverage limits required by the practice and applicable facilities.
