RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey seeks a Physician Assistant to support Trauma and Surgical Critical Care, with occasional coverage for General Surgery, Neurosurgery, ENT, and Uro/GYN.
You will perform histories, physicals, orders, and care plans under supervision; participate in trauma resuscitation, rounds, and postoperative care; ensure compliance with state PA rules.
This full-time position requires BLS/ACLS, ATLS within first year, and a strong commitment to patient safety and teamwork.
Pay Range: $125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year (anticipated). The compensation offered to the candidate selected will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
The Physician Assistant will primarily provide care to the Trauma and Surgical Critical Care service lines. PA will also occasionally provide coverage for the General Surgery, Neurosurgery, ENT, and Uro/GYN services when needed. PA will provide acute health care through assessment, diagnosis, clinical judgment, and management to restore, maintain, and improve the health status of patients. Provides pre-operative, operative, and post-operative patient care, under the direction and supervision of the attending surgeon and in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital and the state Physician Assistant Act. PA will respond to trauma alerts and participate in the evaluation and resuscitation of all trauma patients. PA will observe and care for the inpatient service, inform the attending surgeon of patient condition, and participate in daily rounds.
