Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Bethpage seeks a Physician Assistant to join the Faculty Group Practice / Ambulatory Care Center. This role delivers comprehensive medical care to designated patient populations, coordinating with supervising physicians and the healthcare team.

The successful candidate collaborates with nursing and allied health staff, maintains PA certification, and completes CME requirements. Prior PA fellowship or rotation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires NY licensure and NCCPA certification.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical rotation in medical/surgical areas.
• Maintains PA board certification and CME requirements.
• Preferred ACLS/PALS or NRP depending on privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care using current standards and practice protocols.
• Prescribe medications and coordinate therapies per practice protocol.
• Educate patients and families to support healthy adjustments.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing and allied health staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Coordinate and participate in clinical studies and trials when applicable.
• Maintain documentation, privileges, and compliance with hospital bylaws.
• Monitor cost-effectiveness and resource utilization within the service.
