Job summary

Banner Health's emergency medicine team is seeking a qualified PA or NP to join as a multi-site float provider across Banner Baywood in Mesa, Banner Gateway in Gilbert, and Banner Casa Grande in Casa Grande, AZ. This role offers broad clinical exposure, schedule flexibility, and the opportunity to work in multiple ED settings.

Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited PA or NP program with NCCPA or NP certification, AZ licensure, DEA, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and EM experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program.
• Current NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (NP)
• Arizona licensure as a PA or NP, or ability to obtain
• Current DEA registration or eligibility
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of EM experience as a PA or NP preferred
• Emergency medicine fellowship training
• Experience managing a wide range of low- to high-acuity emergency presentations

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform complete histories and physical examinations
• Order, interpret, and act upon laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Perform procedures consistent with emergency medicine privileges and experience
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, consultants, and ancillary staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Provide scheduled coverage at Banner Baywood, Banner Gateway, and Banner Casa Grande based on operational needs
• Support departmental quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives

Join a highly collaborative emergency team serving three Banner Health EDs across the Phoenix metropolitan area and Casa Grande. • Strong procedural skills including: laceration repair, paracentesis and thoracentesis, abscess incision and drainage, splinting and fracture management, joint reductions, foreign body removal, and emergency stabilization and resuscitation support

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Rotating day, swing, and night shifts
• Weekend and holiday coverage shared among the clinician group
• Travel between Mesa, Gilbert, and Casa Grande facilities required
