Job summary

Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking an experienced PA or NP to join its emergency medicine team as a multi-site float. You will provide care across Banner Baywood, Banner Gateway, and Banner Casa Grande, working with EM physicians and APCs to deliver high-quality care in diverse ED environments.

The role offers schedule flexibility with rotating day, swing, and night shifts, plus opportunities for skill growth and CME.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program.
• Current NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (NP).
• Arizona licensure as a PA or NP, or ability to obtain.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of EM experience as a PA or NP preferred.
• Emergency medicine fellowship training preferred.
• Experience managing a wide range of low- to high-acuity emergency presentations.
• Strong procedural skills including laceration repair, drainage, and stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Perform histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and act on laboratory and diagnostic studies.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform procedures consistent with emergency medicine privileges and experience.
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EM record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, consultants, and staff to ensure patient outcomes.
• Provide scheduled coverage at Banner Baywood, Banner Gateway, and Banner Casa Grande as needed.
• Support quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
