Job summary

The Physicians' Group in North OKC is seeking a Licensed Physician Assistant to support a busy orthopedic surgeon. You will provide acute and chronic patient care, perform pre/post operative care, wound care, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and educate patients.

Requirements include an accredited PA program, current Oklahoma license, NCCPA certification or eligibility; one year in orthopedics preferred; strong communication and computer skills; Epic experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA license in Oklahoma required.
• NCCPA certified or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute and chronic patient care including patient histories.
• Perform pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Wound care and suturing.
• Monitor therapies.
• Order and interpret tests.
• Take patient calls as needed.
• Educate patients and families.
• Complete discharge summaries as requested by physician.
